past and pending

:: the weekend passed in the blink of an eye
:: jacob has been called up from the freshman football team to the junior varsity team
:: i can't believe i'll miss his first jv game while in nyc this week
:: i washed and reorganized the pyrex display cabinets in my kitchen... it looks so perdy now
:: lauren took her first learn-to-knit class at the local yarn store on sunday
:: my girl picked orange and black verigated yarn... um yeah, interesting choice... orange is officially her new fav color
:: for the second time this summer, i was miserably disappointed with the goods at the avon flea market
:: loved sitting in the backseat of my dad's '62 fury convertible with my grandma, while flying down the expressway at 70mph
:: grandma giggles
:: doesn't my sister's hair look like troll hair in that upper right pic?
:: sun on my cheeks, wind in my hair (a lotta wind)
:: had an inpromptu dinner with friends last night too... great night
:: saturday night was a late night talk/visit with a broken hearted high school friend, poor thing
:: can't believe that this time tomorrow i'll be on my way to nyc for the first time
:: i'll be packing an umbrella
:: now probably isn't the best time to cast on a pair of socks, but it is happening anyway... stripes
:: feeling terrible that i haven't gone for a run in a week... craziness should not equal laziness
:: i will walk lots in nyc, yes?
:: um, i should probably start laundry so i can pack... yikes!
:: manicure at 1pm

Love the photos--especially of you with your hair standing up (and looking very Jackie Kennedy in those sunglasses), and the one of your grandma.

So much going on for you. I know you will have a blast in NYC.

Congrats to Jacob for making the JV team as a freshman!!! That is BIG news!!

Your classic car pic with your Grandma are so amazingly wonderful. Times you'll always treasure. How did you take those shots?!

Will be thinking of you as you get on your way to NYC...can't believe the time is finally here! You've done so much to prepare for this... I hope the trip goes smoothly, especially from the airport. You're going to have fun and create all sorts of new memories! Have fun at the photo shoot too - can't wait to hear all about it!
