Back in August I gushed about what a treat it was to get to spend a weekend with my best friend. At the time, I thought it would be at least another year or so before I would get the chance to see her again. In a wonderful Christmasy turn of events, she came up for the week!! She is staying with her mother-in-law, so we aren't getting to spend every waking moment together. But, we got to have a girly night out on Saturday, sit and drink coffee while sewing on Monday, and yesterday we went shopping and had wonderful hubby-created dinner, sat at the kitchen table reminiscing with old photos of the kids and giggling while trying to get the perfect picture of the two of us.
Getting more time with her is the best Christmas present ever.

Kerry, what a nice surprise! You two do look so much alike...did you used to get that all the time in HS? And you're both so photogenic! I hope your book club party tonight went well... that menu sounded out of this world. Especially the bread and artichoke dip. Randy asked what book are you reading?? :-)
