Whatever The Case May Be...

back to bed

I was an irresponsibile reader last night and stayed up until 4am to finish that last book in the Twilight Series. Yeah, stupid. But... couldn't . put . it . down . Yes, your math is right, I got threw all four books (more then 2300 pages) in just about a week and a half. couldn't . put . it . down . The after 4am bedtime, and the restless sleep that followed has left me wishing I could cuddle back up under the covers. Oh well... maybe later.

In the meantime... I have a new post of on Watch Me Create. There is a certain, basic, lampworking skill that is suddenly eluding me. Go find out what it is.

So do you agree with me that the first book, Twilight, is the least "exciting" of the series? It really took some unexpected turns in the last book.

Now you have to read The Host. Some people haven't liked it as much as the Twilight books but I think I may actually like it better. It takes longer to be drawn in but once you are you really really are.

YES Michele!! I agree. I have to say, the 4th is by far my favorite. I have read a lot of "vampire" books in my day, and I like a vampire book told from a vampire's point of view. So once things turned the way they did in the 4th, I really fell in love with it. It made the humdrum of the previous book worth it. I only stuck threw them because I had to know what was going to happen. And I really like how it ended up.

Hate HATE HATE! The names in this book though. Goodness. I had to make up my own names in my head for everyone. Though, I like Edward, and Jacob (obviously, I have a Jacob). And I like "bells", not "bella" so much. Renesmee... are you serious?

thanks for the suggestion sunshine!

haha...yeah the twilight books are dangerously addicting!

Totally agree with you on the Renesme thing. My tongue trips over it all the time which stops the flow of reading.

I'm assuming you will want to see the movie which comes out on DVD on March 21. It's OK. Lot's of staring back and forth between Edward and Bella. My 10 year old daughter is begging to see it. She just started reading the book which may take her until the end of the school year to finish at the rate she reads. My 13 year old son loved this series. He's the one who introduced me to it. It's nice to have something to share with my kids.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't like Renesmee!! One of my big pet peeves is made-up names, and that definitely fits the bill!

I agree, you have to read the host. It is actually the first book of hers I read. I told you that the last book was the best. I couldn't put it down either.

I was that way with the Outlander series. And since each book was about 1000 pages in paperback, I had a LOT of sleepless nights and grumpy mornings.

OH, and The Host WAS cool -- but it took me a while to get into it. Then once I got things figured out and things started happening, I went back and reread the beginning and it was like lightbulbs going off.
