Where We Spend Our Days
June 13th marked the two year anniversary of our closing on this old house of ours. Today I spent a solid 12 hours cleaning every square inch of it. Yeah, LOL, "Carrie" went on a spree and couldn't be stopped. She was a mad woman, just mad I tell you, mad. As I cleaned today, I thought it would be fun to do a home tour of humble dwelling. Carrie needs to come down here -- we're building onto the entire back first floor of our house!
It's beautiful! Makes me long for the old house we owned for 5 years in Kentucky before we moved to California. I long for great hardwood floors again. And I went on a cleaning frenzy today too!!
You have a gorgeous home. But dang, does anybody LIVE there? It's so gorgeously clutter free! Our house, even when clean, has clutter everywhere. It drives me crazy to be sure, but there is not one single person in this family that is neat and I refuse to constantly pick up after others. Sigh.
Okay, I didn't clean. I'm still pawing through my Bead and Button goodies and recovering. Your house is beautiful - and now very clean. Uh, can you come over? We could have art lessons and clean this one too.

Jennifer, I had to laugh when I read your comment! I hide clutter. All those buffets and dressers around the house are stuffed to the brim with "paperwork" that I have no idea why I am saving. And OMG, don't go near my closets, stuff will fall on you, cartoon style.
I loved looking at all the photo's of your home. It's beautiful! And I'm due for one of those 12 hour cleaning days myself. Then I think I could look around and breathe a sigh of relief. :)

OH Kerry, has it been TWO years already??! Seems like yesterday. Your house is absolutely gorgeous...loved looking through the pictures and seeing your artistic touch in every single room. Randy said you are truly artistic (he enjoyed the mosaic too). Hope you're having fun entertaining and watching golf! :-)
