ReFunked

ReFunked

Don't worry, I don't think all the pieces will have "Re" in the title, LOL! But as long as I can come up with them they will. I introduce to you... "ReFunked". And my stars do I need to be careful when I type that. Wouldn't want to put a c in place of that n. I would need to put vulgarity warning on the old blog here. ;)

WOW! Truly, that is how I am feeling about the comments yesterday. WOW! You all are such a huge support. Thanks for your understanding and wonderful words of praise. LOL, you know, you are probably half the reason I get so insecure. Such pressure to keep delivering cool things! How can I keep up to the hype? I don't know how I'll do it, but I'll keep trying.

I think Deb said what I was feeling better then I could in her comment yesterday. She said "Until recently I worked with artists (some of an international calibre) for a number of years. One thing I learned is that, artists often hold things close - it's somewhat like nurturing a baby for 9 months....everything has to be ready in order proceed. That also goes for how you feel about it!" YES! That is how I was feeling... I didn't want to share... I didn't know if it was ready. (and those other things I mentioned too)

Enough about that though. More about "Refunked". I LOVE these colors!! So bright... so big... same thing I was saying about "Respired" yesterday. I think this would look good with a white top, pink top, orange top, black top. There are just so many options. I love the orange and red with the pops of pink and little touches of lavender. This piece has three beads (two hollows and simple disc). Man , I am getting anxious for more supplies to come to explore these designs more. I hope they get here soon!!

This is my new favorite color combination. Don't know if you saw a bracelet I made and sold earlier this week. It had the same types of color in it. MMMMM it screams SUMMER!!

I can't even count how many times I have tried to get this color combo into a set of beads. The pallet I use just doesn't have the right shades of purple and fucshia. Mixing the enameled metal in... I think I finally got it!!

I went and hunted in your posts to find the bracelet you ment. Is it the one with the smokey tabs? Love the dark color mixed in there!!

You did it again! Love the colors. i like the design on the first one better with two flowers and your hollow on one side. Maybe I am feeling how can you top that!

I love this so much!

I think that it's good that you have a small measure of insecurity. The day that you sit down and say "this is good enough" is the day that you stop pushing yourself, and coming up with awesome new stuff like this. :)

I like the flower with the disk bead the best. I think this would be a cool pendant on it's own with just a chain!

i can't imagine anything more fun to wear as the weather heats up - these are wonderful. i found some enameled chain the other day, thought of you, bought it and stashed it away for you. i will continue to hoard it for you 'til i finally get to see you again.

Wow, I LOVE it!!!

I have tons of my great grandmas costume jewelry all torn apart that I reuse, so I totally get how much fun this project probably was to make.

As for holding things close, that is something I struggle with daily. It gets so bad that the other night I had a nightmare where I was choking on beads. Talk about my subconscious telling me to let things go!

Kerry, I love the boldness of the piece, the size of the elements really make the jewelry the focus of an outfit! Larger necklace elements are a trend I've been seeing in the polymer clay world for a while-- see Kathleen Dustin's necklaces. It gives the artist a nice, large canvas to work with, so fun. Glad I found your blog!
