Picture Summer Summary

picture summer mosaic

Tracey Clark's e-course, Picture Summer, on Big Picture Scrapbooking, finished up over the weekend and as promised, I wanted to share a collection of all my photos from the month. I still have a few shots I need to take... Day 18, Day 23, Day 29, and Day 30. I decided not to rush it and take the photos when the inspiration from their themes strike. You can see the complete set here on Flickr.

Some of my favorite themes/challenges from the month were "Jump Shot" and "Silhouettes Of Summer". "Put A Spin On Summer" was another cool one but my camera does more of a vortex than a spin. I think that may be a Nikon vs. Canon situation. Many of my shots were from our vacation last week. I think had we been home, the shots would have been completely different (d'uh, obviously) but I kinda like that I will have these as memories from our time at the cottage.

I found myself so inspired by this project that the minute I saw registration had opened for Picture Fall, I jumped on it. I can't wait to spend October snapping away at my favorite things.

Kerry these are great. What camera do you have, and how did you learn to use it? I'm sure my camera can do different things, I just have not found them yet. Unfortunately the users manual is a hard read.

hey Anne,
i shoot with a nikon d90 and i am learning from using it really. also, when i want to try to do a specific thing, i look up tips and tricks online. not very helpful in your situation, but maybe you could research what can a fill-in-the-blank do on google to learn more?

If I only had a few more hours in the day I would jump in and take this with you. I love your photography. It is such a treat to see what your eyes see. Such brilliant composition and balance with a healthy dose of fun. Enjoy the day! Erin

I can't believe how fast this class seemed to come and go. The end result is such a beautiful collection...love how you captured them all in a collage. When looking at the overview, I see such rich colors... and many treasured pictures of the kids!
