More Random Ramblings

I am seriously considering making this a weekly feature here, lol. Mondays are always so crazy, I like getting my random thoughts out in a few quick minutes and moving on with the day. I hope you feel welcome enough here to get your random thoughts out too, in the comments. I love reading them.

I love that textured pattern you're knitting! What is it called?
Looking forward to seeing your hollows when they're ready.

Kerry, I love these random thoughts.

-I really need to get to the clay studio and start working on some new pieces.

-We have no food and I hate grocery shopping because I suck at meal planning. I'll make one of those frozen dinners, again but I need to get back to cooking when I'm caught up on stuff.

-Josh is working late so much lately anyway, so who cares?

-I should put in a load of laundry. We have zero towels clean.

-Why can't I seem to get more done in my day?

-I wish I had time management skills.

-I need to get off this computer because I've been sitting here waaay to long.

Kerry, I made scones from scratch for the first time about a year ago. I am not a cook/baker kind of girl, but they came out perfectly. A woman at the geography fair was amazed because she has teas every month and she claims hers never come out good. If I can find the recipe again (I found it online), I will put the link here. If I can do it, you can do it for sure ;o)

Hey Kerry
I love that sweater you you made (of course the color too). Please tell Lauren she is an excellent photographer!
- need to finish writing a tutorial due Wednesday
- hope my Bead Soup pictures turned out okay...so hard to take pictures of jewelry on top of snow!
- need to get to sleep but I stay up to return just one more email...
- wondering what to do with the kids tomorrow...school was cancelled again...... :-)

I got this off Cooks.com I changed it a bit
by adding a little extra sugar (not exactly sure how much as I just kind of
scooped some in) and I also tripled the recipe, cut it into bite sized pieces
before baking and then baked for only 5 minutes to serve at the geography fair (my kids had England as their country)

--------------------------------------
GRANDMA MEIFERT'S ENGLISH CREAM SCONES
--------------------------------------

1/3 c. cream
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. butter
2 c. flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, well beaten
Brush with egg whites, sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients together, blend in butter like pastry.
Add well beaten eggs and cream. Turn on floured board, roll
3/4 inch thick. Cut in triangular shapes, brush with egg
white. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and bake in 450
degree oven about 15 minutes.

I love the stream of consciousness comments--makes my life seem effortless in comparison--thanks!-- no kids, I don't clean my husband doesn't care, we don't get colds (too old and had all the variations of them) and I get to work in the studio all day. But-- I am 61 and dang it-- I've earned it! But see, even with all the stuff you have to handle, you are having wonderful, creative thoughts. I want to see the purple hollows!

whatever that piece of art is, I totally dig it. The dark colors against the light...perhaps it is your purple hollows format?

Beautiful plum yarn...yummy!

~ snow started here and won't stop for next 24 hrs. (fine with me since I'm not working)
~ speaking of working, need a job (fingers crossed for Ron; I'm still jobless after a year...)
~ need to exercise really bad
