Snowed In
I rolled over in bed about 3am and saw an odd amber glow. No, the house wasn't on fire... there was a total white out, that made the view nonexistant. When I finally came downstairs a couple hours later, we were officially snowed in with at least a foot of snow. School is canceled (for the first time in more than 2 years!), I can't even open the back door with the drifts, it is still snowing and is expected to keep snowing all weekend.
Keep warm. Stay safe. Have hot cocoa.

Geez, we picked the date for the workshop for March because we thought the weather would be more reliable. Let's pray that things start to calm down a little!
Ohh taht looks so brrry cold!
so crazy, right? it's our 4th storm and they are talking about one next week too...
Now that scene looks all to familiar! I'm kinda happy for you though to have this kind of cool snow, with the kids off (I know they're psyched!), and time to all hang out together in the warmth of your home. What's that contraption that Ron's got? Poor Randy lost his gloves back when we had the last blizzard and he had to shovel out with his bare hands. Enjoy your snow day!
ROFLMAO!! Cindy!! It is called a SNOWBLOWER!!! It is one of the reasons Rochester doesn't shut down when we get snow. Have Randy check out www.johndeere.com
ROFLMAO........I didn't know that folks wouldn't know what a snowblower was! It's standard equipment in the midwest!!! Along with a lawn mower for the 100+ degree temps in the summer when the grass grows like crazy!
you will probably want to smack me for this, but i am jealous! We got three inches here a few weeks ago and that was the first measurable snow in like 10 years! I would love to be snowed in somewhere, provided i had lots of knitting and snacks with me.
Kerry, I just wanted to let you know that I have passed the sunshine award on to you. Read about it on my blog: nickisreef.blogspot.com
