Change Afoot

tea leaves and tomatoes
Can you feel that? The slight chill starting to sneak its way into the air? Gawd, I love it. School is so close I can almost taste it. At night, the windows behind our headboard are open and the cooler air has us pulling the covers up. The kids grab sweatshirts in the evenings and oh my stars, we have tomatoes coming out of our ears. I have spent lots of time in the studio this week while the kids entertain themselves in the backyard (something that only happens when the weather is just right). It is incredibly invigorating for me. Ron commented last night, when I strolled up to him while he mowed the lawn just to give him a kiss, that he hasn't seen a grin as big as I had on me in a while. I am going to ride this weather induced, kids returning to school soon (10 days to go), fall sweater knitting, high straight on through until Thanksgiving.

Omigosh, your tomatoes are HUMONGOUS! Now I know I absolutely MUST plant a tomato bush next year. Glad the cooler weather is coming your way to bring big grins :D

Oh I tell you. This is THEEEE best time of year! I completely agree with you. The dry cold front swept over Cape Cod last night. Love the sweet, scrumptious tomatoes this time of year ..Happy, Happy Joy, Joy. LOL

I love you Miss Kerry. You are SPOT ON! My kids have been in school since Wednesday and I have now freed up one morning a week to work on my jewelry. I am very happy. And your pictures are gorgeous. I wish you were my momma so that you would make me a snuggly sweater. Dang lucky Bogert kids
;-)
Enjoy the day!

Recently I've been saying, "If I could find a place that had this weather year round, I'd move tomorrow." I love the cool nights and the sunny days - but not too hot. I really don't need the change of seasons anymore - I'm good with this stuff.

Your post left me craving Fall in a big way and practically salivating at the thought of two simple words ... Apple Pie.
